Who Is This For?

Current Grapplers
You train jiu-jitsu, striking, or MMA and want the strength and durability that lets you push harder and get hurt less doing it.
Standalone Fitness
You don't train martial arts and don't have to — this program stands entirely on its own as a structured strength and conditioning membership.
Coming Back or Getting Older
You're rebuilding after time off, an injury, or just want your joints and body to hold up better than they used to.

Train Smarter. Last Longer.

Most grapplers train hard on the mat but neglect the physical foundation that makes everything else possible. Strength, power, mobility, and conditioning aren't extras — they're what keep you training for years instead of months.

Our Strength & Conditioning program is built specifically for martial artists, but it works just as well as a standalone program if you're not training jiu-jitsu at all. Every session is designed to make you more durable, more explosive, and more resilient — not just fitter. You'll build the kind of functional strength that carries directly into real life, whether or not it also carries onto the mat.

And if you do train here, you're working out alongside the same people you drill and spar with. S&C becomes another way to connect with the 10th Planet Denver community — pushing each other in a different environment, building trust that carries back onto the mat.

Three Pillars

🏃
Durability
Build joints, tendons, and connective tissue that can handle the demands of regular grappling and striking training. Stay healthy and keep training — year after year.
Strength & Power
Develop real functional strength and explosive power that translates directly to the mat. Not gym-mirror strength — grappling strength. The kind that matters when you need it.
🤝
Community
Train alongside the same people you roll with. S&C is another thread in the 10th Planet Denver community — shared suffering builds real bonds.

What to Expect

1
Warmup & mobility. Every session starts with a structured warmup targeting the joints and movement patterns most stressed in grappling — hips, shoulders, spine, and knees.
2
Strength work. Compound movements built around the squat, hinge, push, pull, and carry patterns. Programmed progressively so you get stronger week over week.
3
Conditioning finisher. Short, intense conditioning work at the end of each session to build the gas tank you need for hard rounds on the mat.
4
Cool down. Mobility and recovery work to keep your body fresh for the next training session. We train a lot — recovery is part of the program.

What You'll Build

Joint Durability
Stronger connective tissue means fewer injuries and more time on the mat doing what you love.
Explosive Power
The ability to explode into a takedown, escape a bad position, or finish a submission when your partner is defending hard.
Cardio & Endurance
Stop gassing out in round three. Build the conditioning to stay sharp and technical even when you're tired.
Body Composition
Lose fat, build lean muscle, and move better. The physical transformation is a byproduct of training for performance.
Mental Toughness
Doing hard things in a group builds the kind of mental resilience that carries into every other area of your life.
Deeper Community
Another way to connect with your training partners outside the mat. Shared effort builds real relationships.

Common Questions

Do I need to be a jiu-jitsu member to join S&C?
No. The Strength & Conditioning program is available as a standalone membership at $37.50/week with a $100 enrollment fee. You don't need to train jiu-jitsu to join — though many S&C members end up on the mats eventually.
What fitness level do I need to start?
Any level. The program is scalable — movements are modified to meet you where you are and progress from there. Whether you're coming back from injury or you're an experienced lifter, we'll work with your current capacity.
Is this a CrossFit-style class?
No. Our S&C program is more structured and sport-specific than typical CrossFit. The focus is on building functional strength and conditioning that directly transfers to grappling performance — not random workouts or chasing times on a whiteboard.
Do I need to pre-register?
Yes — pre-registration on the Zen Planner app is required for S&C classes. Spots are limited to keep the class small and high quality. Download the app and register before your first session.
What should I wear?
Athletic clothes you can move in. The class is barefoot — no shoes required. Bring water and a towel.
